I've been an avid fan of Genya Shinazugawa from Kimetsu no Yaiba since 2019. Just now I've had the chance to devote my affection to this character!
Why do I like Genya so much?
It's kind of complex, but not that much. I've always had a thing for this character trope: Mean guy, lone wolf, but in reality he's just protecting himself from further harm after all he had to endure.
He makes me want to cry most of the time
, which makes me want to protect him at all costs! I project onto him a lot, even though our lives are nowhere near similar (to be honest, nothing in KnY resembles modern reality lol), I understand him and his behavior deeply. He has a strong goal in mind, and is willing to risk even his own safety for the sake of the people he cares for. Truly a good boyo! 
He's a really nice guy, I love him a lot. If you ever get to read or watch KnY, keep an eye on him. He has, I believe, one of the roundest character development in the manga.
He's just the best character ever made. That's not up for debate.
